- The Kyrgyz Republic has received financing in the amount of 50.0 million USD from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Saudi Fund for Development (“SFD”) toward the cost of the Irrigated Agriculture Development in Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions Project and it intends to
apply part of proceeds to finance payments under the contract for Construction of Shamsi Water Storage Facility.
- Project Management Unit for the Irrigated Agriculture Development in Issyk-Kul and Naryn Regions Project of the Water Resources Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for submission of its proposal on KGZ-1022/CW/2 - Construction of Shamsi Water Storage Facility.
Construction works will include the construction of the WSF, namely the construction of the dam from soil material, the construction of the tower outlet and a catastrophic spillway with a discharge canal, the installation of piezometers, the transfer of a dirt road from the flooded area. Construction of the operational site. Installation of outdoor lighting for the crest of the dam and the operational area.
- Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding/Member Countries (ICB/MC), as specified in the SFD’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Saudi Fund for Development Project Financing (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to Firms in accordance with the criteria. In addition, please refer to paragraphs setting forth SFD’s policy on conflict of interest.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the Project Management Unit of the Water Resources Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic at the address below, during office hours 09:00 to 17:00.
- A complete set of bidding documents in English language (with desirable Russian translation) may be received by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and payment of 4 000 KGS or 50 USD to the bank account indicated below. The document will be sent by email.
