WUAs, established by water users as a non-profit organization, to ensure the operation and maintenance of irrigation schemes in the field, each time at the beginning of the year, hold reporting and election meetings. The meeting reviews the progress report and approves the annual WUA work plans, irrigation schedules and preparations for the forthcoming irrigation season. The size of the fee for the supply of irrigation water to water users is set.

In the Republic, the number of legally registered WUAs is 486, of which 96 WUAs have suspended their activities. As of February 9, reporting and election meetings were held in 29 WUAs, and tariffs were set.
